Look how Kabod Online armor destruction system works Leaving features out of a game "just because" is not the best idea unless it really doesnt fit anywhere in the game (story, dynamic content, combat, etc)Įdit: back to the broken armor feature, if GW2 had perhaps another year before release then it would be enough time to implement such feature. But putting that specific feature aside, if devs get used to make games with your "leave X thing out cos its not worth the time" way of thinking they (or anyone else) will make crap games. Its not worth the time because the game release is near so it makes more sense to focus on other things that may be done already. If I wanted fan service I would go to Tera.Īnd even if we pretend that it's meant as a deterrent, there were many better options offered in this thread alone. If it's normal to get almost an entire party in a raid to the point of getting naked because of deaths, that is not any more a deterrent, just some fan service for immature guys. Or you could read trough the thread for more alternatives.Īs for it being a deterrent, that's just absurd. Check a couples post up for a few ideas (obviously not all of them serious).

It wouldn't take as long as brand new armor, but it is still unacceptably wasteful. You could be working on totally new armor or clothing or anything else in that time. It would look cool, but it isn't worth the time. That is ridiculous and wasteful, and should never be done. Making broken versions of all the armor doubles the work for artist for armor. I hope it costs enough to actually be a deterrent. It only happens when you fail, so it should be a punishment.
